Professional squash player joins Surrey Sports Park

Surrey Sports Park is delighted to announce that professional squash player, Adrian Waller, has joined our Squash Club for the season.

The Enfield born 28-year-old was once ranked 24^th in the world; and has represented the England national team over 30 times in his career.

Waller was even a member of the silver medal winning men’s double team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

We sat down with our new arrival to chat about Squash, Surrey Sports Park, and superpowers.

What are your first memories of playing squash?

I remember hitting a ball against the wall at home, but after that I just wanted to beat my older brother.

What is your fondest memory as a player?

Winning a silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast.

Favourite venue you have competed in during your career?

Chicago for sure, there’s a court built outside on the Magnificent Mile that was really special.

Why did you sign for Surrey Sports Park this season?

It’s a great opportunity to support a thriving centre for squash around London. It also gives me a chance to play against other top players, whilst also hopefully inspiring some younger players to get on court as well.

Final question, if you could have one superpower, what would it be?

I’d love to have super speed, something like The Flash!
