Surrey Sports Park (SSP) is proud to announce the renewal of its sponsorship with international law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper.
The firm originally played a founding role in Surrey Sports Park's creation, advising on corporate structuring, governance, branding, and legal frameworks for elite and community use. SSP is the home of Team Surrey - the University of Surrey's Sports teams - and is also open to the public.
In 2025, the firm is deepening its partnership through continued sponsorship, helping advance SSP’s mission to deliver over £1 million in social value to the Surrey community by 2028.
Georgina Agnies, Director of University Sport, shared:“This partnership reflects shared values of empowerment, inclusion and excellence. Penningtons Manches Cooper is more than a sponsor; they are a catalyst for change. Together, we’re building a space where students, families, and the wider Surrey community can thrive through sport, wellbeing and education. We are proud to have a firm that champions both grassroots and elite-level ambition by our side.”
The collaboration also sees the firm continue its support of inclusive events such as Sportsability Day, which opens SSP’s world-class facilities to local schoolchildren with learning disabilities and other additional needs. It also supports an individual scholarship as part of the University of Surrey's Dual Career Programme.
Mike Busby, a member of the firm's strategy board and a senior partner in the Guildford office, said: “Our relationship with Surrey Sports Park represents our belief in the transformative power of sport. We’re proud to support a centre that not only develops Olympians and professional athletes, but also empowers families and individuals in our local community to lead active, healthier lives.”
