Eva Russell

Health & Fitness Manager / Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m Eva, Health and Fitness Manager at Surrey Sports Park! I have been involved in sport my whole life, as a competitive swimmer until my teenage years, then becoming interested in the gym and strength training at university. I took up triathlon in 2020 and have since competed for the GB Age-Group team at both European and World Championship level, earning a number of top 10 finishes over the last 5 years. I am also a qualified triathlon coach, alongside my L2 and L3 Personal Trainer qualifications.

My career has led me to working in a number of sports, including football, triathlon, swimming and general strength and fitness, in a variety of roles and with athletes of lots of different levels and abilities. I am passionate about sport in general and using my background to deliver the best possible experience to Surrey Sports Parks members. As well as being responsible for the overall running of the Health and Fitness department, I am also available for 1:1 and small group personal training sessions. I love working with all different kinds of people, whatever the starting level or goal, and can adapt your training to suit your lifestyle. I am passionate about making sport and fitness accessible for all and will do whatever I can to help clients feel confident in the gym, particularly those who may lack experience. Feel free to email me for more information or grab me for a chat if you see me around the building, I'm always happy to have a chat about what SSP can offer!

Sean Wegmuller

Senior Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer

I started training myself in the gym from the age of 16. At that time for me the gym was a very intimidating environment, after a couple of months of sticking to it I managed to feel comfortable in the gym and I have never looked back.

The gym is so much more for me than just a place to lift weights and get better physically. It has truly turned my life around. It’s my sanctuary a happy place where I can be myself. A place which helped me to realise that hard work and dedication pays off.

The desire to help people has always been a huge part of my personality and I take pride in helping others to discover what going to the gym can do for others, both physically and mentally.

I’ve been focusing on Strength and Hypertrophy training in my personal journey so if you ever have any questions on this or anything else fitness related come and find me, I’m always happy to help.

I’m always up for a good ‘chin wag’ no matter the subject. See you around.

Mara Lee

Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m Mara, a personal trainer with over 5 years of experience helping people achieve their fitness goals. I believe that fitness should be fun, approachable, and empowering – no goal is unachievable when you put your mind to it! Whether you're new to the gym or a seasoned athlete, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients – from athletes to middle-aged individuals, from young first-timers to those recovering from injury. I’m passionate about teaching the fundamentals of fitness, helping you develop a healthy relationship with both exercise and nutrition, and ensuring you feel confident and empowered during every session. The best part of my job? Hearing my clients say, “I feel so much better” as they walk away from a session – that’s what keeps me motivated! I believe in a friendly, supportive, and results-driven approach to training, making sure you have fun while pushing towards your goals. I also understand that life can throw curveballs, and I’m here to support you not just in your physical fitness, but also through those tougher moments. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or going through a challenging time, I’m with you for the ride.

On a personal note, I’m a passionate runner with a goal of completing the London Marathon in under 3:30 (after smashing a sub-4 hour marathon!). Fitness is not just about weight loss, muscle gain, or performance – it’s about improving your mood, building resilience, and transforming your lifestyle.

So, if you’re ready to make fitness fun, set goals, and achieve things you never thought possible, I’d love to work with you!

Nutrition & Lifestyle Support

I also offer structured nutrition guidance tailored to your goals, including calorie targets, macronutrient breakdowns, and meal recommendations. Whether your aim is building muscle, losing fat, or improving performance, your nutrition will complement your training, support recovery, and help you reach your full potential efficiently.

Coaching Options

I offer one-to-one coaching, small group personal training (2–3 people), hybrid programs that combine in-person sessions with online programming via my app, and one-off app-based workout plans for those who want a structured program to follow independently.

About Me

I train 3–4 times per week, focusing on resistance training for strength, muscle growth, and long-term health. I also enjoy 11-a-side football and running to stay agile and energised, bringing that same energy and precision into my coaching. Recently, I completed my first HYROX competition, which gave me new insights into endurance, functional fitness, and program design that I now use to benefit my clients.

Jonas Zimmann

Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer

I have been playing sport for the majority of my life, for me exercising is one of my favourite daily activities.

Going to the gym became a part of my routine around the age of 16 when I first started attending my local leisure centre and it has since become a daily part of my life.

I have completed my sport and exercise science degree at the University of Surrey where I learned a lot around human physiology and nutrition and their practical applications to sport and exercise. I am now doing a masters in International Business Management.

In my own training I enjoy lifting weights as well as conditioning-based sessions with a sprinkle of Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. I thoroughly enjoy variation in my training and believe that unless you are a competitive athlete, variation is key to keeping exercise in your routine long term.

If you ever have any questions or need help in the gym, feel free to come up to me and I will help you as best I can.
